Privacy policy - Saural Audio

DiPLO («the App») is developed by Saural Audio («we», «us»). This policy explains what happens to your data when you use DiPLO.

Short version: we don’t collect anything. Your recordings and transcripts never leave your device unless you choose to share them yourself.

What the App does on your device

Recordings are stored locally, in the format you choose (WAV or MP3).
Transcription runs entirely on-device using an offline speech model (Parakeet). No audio or transcript is ever sent to us or to any third-party server for this purpose.
Tags, markers, and other organisation data you create stay on your device.

What we do NOT collect

We do not operate any server that receives your audio, transcripts, or usage data.
We do not use analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs.
We do not require an account, sign-in, or personal profile to use the App.

Sharing and Feedback

If you use the Share feature, the App hands your recording or transcript to the sharing method you pick (e.g. Mail, Messages) through your device’s own share sheet. That transfer is between you and the app you chose — we are not involved.
If you use the in-app «Send Feedback» option, it opens your device’s mail app with a pre-filled message addressed to admin@sauralaudio.com, including basic diagnostic information (app version, device model, OS version, your chosen recording/transcription settings). You can review, edit, or delete any line before sending. Nothing is sent unless you press send yourself.

Subscriptions

Premium features, where available, are purchased through the App Store or Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies; we do not receive or store your payment details.

Microphone access is used only to record audio you initiate. It is never used in the background without your action.

The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data at all.
